Family Fun and Getting stuff done

I’d like to apologize for my absence lately. It has been crazy at work with everything we need to get done and I am afraid it won’t stopped until June. We are at crunch time now working our tails off to get the kids to where they need to be and securely. I am not a miracle worker but I at least need to try to get my kiddos to make a years worth of growth over the year. My kids are almost there so we are plucking away and fine tuning everything to get there.

This Friday the family all got together for a family fun run for 2.4 miles. Dud took off like a rocket and us girls got scared that we would be chasing him the whole time. We settled into a good 8:30-8:40ish pace for the run. We always finish on an up hill and Heather and I pushed up it real hard this time. I did yell at her at one point that she was to go to the top and not stop! We walked a little and then Robyn came flying by so I caught up and we pushed each other until we got to the door. I pulled up too soon and she ran through the finish. Rookie mistake, run through the line!! We always get a  little competitive when we get to the end of runs!

After our run Robyn and Ella had invited us all to a Spaghetti dinner. Manda made yummy bread to go with the spaghetti and meatball bubbles which confused me at first. It is a meatball stuffed in dough with cheese. It was delicious! We also had Aunt Evie over and her and I chatted away about the MEAN Conda on Biggest Loser. I put money down before the conversation happened that Aunt Evie would hate her. Well too bad no one shook on that because I would have won. She actually had said “ Oh I want to punch her in the face!”. Ok Aunt Evie is 83-84 so it is hilarious when you get into it with her. She LOVES biggest loser and we talk for ever about it all the time. I HAVE to go see her when it is on soon.

Oh heck yea I will pick an ugly picture of her!!

As I was writing this today I took a break to go run. I hit the Riverwalk for 7.2miles then jogged .3 as a cool down ( I actually hate the last stretch of the riverwalk so I was happy I already had the 7miles in when I hit that part). I had a few whiteouts while running and awful wind for 2.75miles but then kicked butt for the rest of the run! I feel great now!!

Ok off to play around for dinner. Just bought flatbread and want to try out some ideas with it!!

QOTD: Ever bought flatbread? What have you made with it?
